Temple, Texas, now allows — nay encourages — teachers in its 14 schools to paddle any unruly kids. Apparently in Texas, as in 19 other states, corporal punishment is not illegal. Those states are (almost) all southern.

Yeah that is all we need, repeat the mistakes of the past. I remember paddling, it sucked because the only one that used it was the football coach and he had one hell of a swing on him. He would have you sign the paddle too. Woot!
